How to Play Spider Solitaire
Spider Solitaire uses two decks (104 cards). The goal: build 8 complete sequences from King down to Ace in the same suit, then remove them. Complete all 8 to win.
- Moving cards: Place any card on one that is exactly one rank higher (any suit).
- Moving groups: You can move a group of cards only if they are the same suit in descending order.
- Empty columns: Any card or valid group can go in an empty column.
- Deal: Click Deal Row (or press D) to add one card to every column. All columns must have at least one card before dealing.
- Complete a sequence: Build K→Q→J→10→9→8→7→6→5→4→3→2→A in the same suit to remove it.
Click to Move
Tap or click a card to select it (highlighted in gold). Then tap a destination column to move it there. Tap the same card again to deselect. You can also drag cards on desktop or mobile.
Difficulty Modes
- 1 Suit: All cards are spades. Easiest — great for learning the game.
- 2 Suits: Spades and hearts. Multi-card groups must be same suit. Much harder.
- 4 Suits: All four suits. Requires deep planning. Very challenging win rate.
Keyboard Shortcuts
